Dialog-based Vehicle Search – A Concept for Enhancing Chat-based Interaction Capabilities of the Volkswagen Brand.

Chat-like interactions can be particularly helpful when users need guidance and support with something. Searching for the right car can be challenging, especially for individuals with limited technical knowledge, and requires substantial support. A conversation-based approach is just what is needed.
The fictional approach developed during this project is a slightly playful yet primarily guided way to lead users to the perfect car. The user is guided through a process via questions, at the end of which a car recommendation awaits. If necessary, an alternative model can also be suggested.
In the end, we presented the client with two interaction variants. The first enhances the user experience by providing suggested responses for each question, which makes the interaction more effective. The second variant follows a more free approach, like a real conversation, where the user can only input their responses via input field.
